Description

This year marks the 17th season for Tour de Fat, which will travel to 9 cities across the U.S. This day-long festival is free, but the proceeds from beer sales go to local non-profits.

Since its inception, Tour de Fat has raised more than $4 million, and raised over $600,000 last year alone. A celebration of bike culture and advocacy, the Tour de Fat features eclectic entertainment, from musical acts to yo-yo performers, bike contests and even vaudeville acts. 

This year will also include some brewing education and feature a “Bicycle Revival” to inspire festival-goers to believe in the power of two-wheeled transportation.

I've been asked by a few people if they can buy a t-shirt and/or pint glass and while I've taken the store off-line, if you are going to be at TdF, I am happy to bring prepaid t-shirts and pint glasses with me. So, if you'd like one or more, drop me a private message and I'll let you know how to PayPal me.

T-shirts and pint glasses are on summer special for $10 each.

Ft. Collins, Colo., July 6, 2016 – New Belgium’s Tour de Fat, a traveling celebration of all things bike, is returning to Chicago this Saturday, July 9 and is on the hunt for a car-for-bike swapper. Each swapper is awarded a stipend to buy his or her own commuter bike. Potential swappers just need to submit a video explaining why they have what to takes to go car-free and what the new lifestyle would mean to them.
