Please join us for a rally and ride to speak solutions and raise awareness about the digital divide, a growing inequality in the distribution of technology resources that have become essential for success in the 21st century.
The Sector Ride is presented by Slow Roll Chicago and Mozilla Hive Learning Networks and hosted in partnership with Mikva Challenge and BLUE1647.
We begin the day at 9am with a tour of BLUE1647, a community entrepreneurship and technology innovation center, and with a presentation of the Chicago Youth Tech Pathway recommendations from the Mikva Mayoral Youth Council. The Sector Ride will higlight the work being done here in Chicago to bridge the digital divide. This leisurely ride will explore Chicago's tech sector with a beautifully scenic route of about 10 miles from Pilsen to Downtown Chicago and the West Loop. We end the day with a celebratory post-ride social mixer at Efebina's Cafe, right across the street form BLUE1647.
