Description

All these tourists are visiting Chicago as if it's some kinda exotic destination....
Oh, wait, IT IS!


Let's visit exotic destinations - both domestic and foreign - by biking around the Northside of Chicago to restaurants, parks, museums and bars that represent a sampling of other places in the country, or the world!

The trip itinerary so far:

A Philly themed sandwich shop,

Two tiny museums!

Asian & Middle-Eastern shops,

A place serving authentic NYC slices AND New Orleans beignets.

AND a pub or two from afar!

Prizes to be awarded for the best vacation-themed outfit worn on the ride! 


NOTE: one museum charges a $10 entrance fee (well worth it!)

WARNING: one site is not for those under 18, or the overly prudish.

OK, it's looking like we may get a window between the thunderstorms to take a vacation. Let's plan on being at Monti's at 1, and seeing if the first set of rainclouds clears, then the next isn't due till maybe 6pm.

OK, I'm riding the route today, but if Saturday morning the radar is showing bloody murder for the afternoon, this vacation is cancelled.

Because it NEVER rains on my vacations...
