Wow, a year goes by fast and with all the fantastic weather, ThanksGraveling has really snuck up on us. Don't fret though, we are working hard to get us some fantastic Penrose Brewery beers for some post ride cheer.

Just like last year we'll be meeting up at the Schiller Woods - West Picnic Grove (https://goo.gl/maps/QbtRsqLr1nz), and head north on the Des Plaines River Trail.

The goal is to get in about 30-35 miles 11:00am, so we can hightail it back to turkey, pumpkin pie, and family. Most of us made it home by 12-12:30 last year and were in time to do the dishes from the morning cooking session.

The pace is usually pretty relaxed, and because we are heading out and back it's almost impossible to get lost from the group. The faster folks just did a couple extra miles than the slower folk. I recommend dressing warmly, and bringing a computer/Garmin/watch so as not to finish up too late.

For the most part trail conditions are pretty ideal. You can definitely ride this on a road bike with 700x25 tires but 700x28 is a better size. CX/gravel/adventure bikes are ideal.

This is an open and welcoming ride, so feel free to bring a friend or two.
