Ten Thousand is a gravel bicycle adventure with roughly 10,000ft. of elevation gain in Illinois' Driftless region.
There are 3 route options, allowing riders to choose their level of difficulty and the climbing they want to take on.
The three route options will be approximately as follows:
Intermediate: 40 miles, 4,000 ft of climbing - 9am start
Advanced: 70 miles, 6500 ft of climbing - 9am start
'Official' Ten Thousand: 110 miles, 10,000 ft of climbing - 7am start
This is an unsupported event and therefore riders are responsible for themselves. Riding in this area of Illinois is very challenging. The routes take you through very remote areas with little access to food and water. It is imperative that riders come prepared for a very challenging day on the bike.
All routes feature a majority of gravel roads. Minimum recommended tire width is 32mm, while 40mm+ is ideal.
Join us for some of the best gravel roads the Midwest has to offer.
