Chicago’s Lakeshore Drive has been immortalized in song, story and film, but never does this famous stretch of tarmac shine brighter than when over 20,000 cyclists fill the roads to capacity over Memorial Day weekend. Cyclists experience the Chicago lakefront as few have seen – or heard – it! Without car traffic, when the only sounds are the whir of thousands of bikes and the happy chatter from a sea of riders. Team Diabetes doesn’t just ride the Drive, however… it rides for a reason! Over the last two years, our riders contributed over $100,000 to the fight against diabetes through participating in Bank of America Bike the Drive.

Team Diabetes participants receive all of the amenities of general Bank of America Bike the Drive riders, as well as the added benefits of a Tour de Cure participant, including the T-shirt and a special registration and starting location in the festival area.
