The Sturgeon 100 is a self supported gravel road race through the roads of the Ottawa National Forest. There will be 100 kilometer (Metric) and 100 mile (Imperial) options. The first 60 miles will be a loop north of Kenton, circling the Sturgeon River Gorge Wilderness Area. Imperial racers will loop back through Kenton and complete a loop south of town. Surfaces will range from pavement, to rocky two tracks, to sandy roads, to wet clay and probably everything in between- including miles and miles of impeccably maintained gravel forest highways. There will be a tough climb or two as you cross over the Sturgeon River a couple times.
