The City of Chicago has embarked on the Streets for Cycling Plan 2020 to identify a network of bicycling facilities that will ensure all Chicagoans -- from children riding to school to senior citizens riding to the grocery store -- feel safe and comfortable riding their bike on the city’s streets.
Through public meetings in December and earlier this year, the Chicago Department of Transportation listened to input on where you bike, where you want improvements and what would encourage you to cycle.
Now come see the a draft representation of the plan at one of these upcoming public meetings and continue the dialogue. Learn about possible street treatments and bike facilities, remaining challenges and next steps.
