Come join us for the Spring Tailwind Ride and start your 2016 by riding a Century. It will be held Saturday, May 7th.
We'll start to load bikes at Ben Butterworth Parkway at 6:30 a.m. and leave at 7 a.m. for our starting destination. Please bring a blanket to protect your bike during transportation to our starting point. There will be two buses, with a limit of about 90 people. The drive normally takes about two hours. Once there, we'll unload the bikes and send you on your way after handing out cue sheets. We will have a secure area (probably a locked trailer) for any gear you don't want to haul back on your bike.
There will be a sag stop about 50 to 60 miles into the ride, with water, Gatorade, sub sandwiches and other goodies. The sag will close at 2 p.m. Every route has plenty of small towns with services along the way in case you need anything else.
Registration for this ride will be open from March 14th through May 1st through Get Me Registered The entry fee is $35.
Please keep in mind that even though we plan a route for the best tailwind, this is still a 100+ mile ride.
