Kathy and Oboi, thanks.  I am really looking forward to this.  Is the route exactly the same as the August CCM plus Northerly Island?

We did the ride in 3.5 hours, but it will be longer on Sunday as we will allow an hour for lunch.  There are 3 restaurants next to each other on 57th St.  You can choose from Noodles, etc., Medici and Z&H Market Cafe.  All have vegetarian choices available.  Be sure to bring a lock for your bike.

If 4.5 hours is too long, you can leave us at any time.  Just be sure somebody knows you're leaving.

Oboi and I are riding the ride tomorrow.  We'll see how it goes and let you know.  I would bring my lights regardless.

David, I am only a self-appointed promoter so I think I will have to defer to Kathy and Oboi.   Of course I will put my two cents in anyway.

I am not sure about the pace and when or where they were thinking we would stop for lunch.  The route will--I believe--be pretty much the route we took on the August CCM which was about 14 miles.  From the end of that route at 31st Street Harbor to Northerly Island is a little over a mile.  Kathy seems to have estimated the end of the ride to be 2:30, which seems reasonable including time for lunch.  Sunset will be at 4:41 p.m.CST :-).

Lisa- about how long will this ride be in time and distance. I am just trying to figure out my day as I will ride in to the starting point from Skokie and eventually ride back home from our end point. With the clock change I may need lights by the time I get back north. :-) Thanks.

If we are all very good, maybe we will be rewarded with weather like today!

So wish I could go on this ride but I work on Sundays! Next time - a Saturday ride?

Switch to standard time the night before so you get an extra hour of sleep to rest up!
