Description

- Cat5 B is now OPEN!
- Masters 30+ Cat 4/5* race does not count for IL Cup Points
- Cat 3 racers in the Cat 1/2/3 race will not earn IL Cup points for this race

A minimum of 5 racers must be present for each category race to be held. Races may be shortened or combined at the discretion of the Chief Official.

LAJORS medals will be given to the top three juniors in each age group.
- Children's races are free to enter, but each child must register and wear an approved helmet. All participants will receive recognition.
- Children's age groups: Ages 4 and younger (50 meters), 5-9 (100 meters),
- Junior's age groups (not part of LAJORS series): 10-12 and 13-14 (1 lap).

The Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Road Series (LAJORS) program promotes junior and espoir age bicycle racing while providing opportunities for the success and advancement of developing riders. The program helps to provide a clear path for riders to follow from beginning racing experiences through to training camps to national teams. Espoir racers will compete in the Men's Pro, 1,2,3 event, but will be scored separately.

Registration
Race-day registration begins at 6:30 am and closes 15 minutes prior to each event. Race day registration prices will increase by $5.00.

$5 off when you sign up for additional races but you must sign up for both races in the same transaction here on BikeReg.

Course
One mile loop through historic cycling venue, Sherman Park, on Chicago's south side.

Directions/Parking
Start/finish and registration is on the north side of the course. 1301 W. 52nd St. Chicago, IL 60609

By Car – I90/94 (Dan Ryan) exit at Garfield (5500 South), head west on Garfield, park on 52nd and other nearby streets where legally allowed.
By CTA Train - Take the Red Line to the Garfield stop. Go approximately one mile west on Garfield. Sherman Park is on your right.
BY CTA Bus – Route #33 Garfield

you have to set up a free account at bikereg.com, there is also a link on the right side for confirmed riders, that will let you know if your cat is open, as far as the one day license I think you have to get that straight from USAcycling.org

yes, you need at least a daily license ($10) plus entry fee for each race you ride in, the cat 5a and cat 5b races are both sold out. I am racing masters 30+ cat 4/5, it will be my first race in almost 30 yrs. I am not sure if I am going to ride down, or drive. The weather will be the deciding factor in that decision. I will have to kinda hurry home too because of the naked ride later that day. (I am helping out with security)

I assume a USAC license is required also ?
