This is one of those non-bike related thingies, but I am adding bikes to it to make it more fun.

Shawn is an employee at the Paramount Room and a friend of a friend of mine. He was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 33. It must be pretty bad, because his employer donating HALF of the take from the entire day's sales (and staff are donating all their tips) so that Shawn's wife will not have to work while - well, you know - and his 14 month old daughter can get as much time as possible with him. I am riding down there tonight to have dinner and drinks. I've heard it is a great place to go and they have some tasty deals.

There will be some really good prizes in the raffle, but for anyone who is cash challenged (like me), even dinner and a drink or two will do more than just nourish you the way it usually does.

The route will be from Lawrence/Western down Lincoln to Damen to Milwaukee. Lots of bike lanes. Join me if you like. Meetup at the Huettenbar (4721 N. Lincoln) beforehand. Bike racks galore. You can call or text me if you'd prefer to meet en route.

There could also be a snow ride afterwards!
