(always the 3rd Wednesday in May)
The Ride of Silence is a silent procession of
bicyclists to honor those who have been
killed or injured while bicycling on public
roadways.
We ride in silence on this one night each
year in unity with cyclists around the world
to silently assert our right to share the road.
In over 300 cities worldwide on

I'm sorry I couldn't make it this year. Thank you to Elizabeth, Howard and everyone else who donates so much our their time to remember those who have fallen.
Serge -- You can definitely wait at Patrick's Bike (Orleans and Huron)
we may modify the route.. to go north on Canal all the way to Kinzie - over to Franklin to Huron (so as to avoid on/off ramp traffic on Orleans). HOpefully there by 7:30ish
We will need ride marshalls to help the Chi Bike Officers tonight. We only have 2 officers escorting us... Please let us know if you can help
Anyone riding from the north side/lincoln square area want to meet up ?
Our press release it posted -- please circulate to all your media contacts!

We are aiming for a 6:45pm DEPART from Daley Plaza this Wednesday evening.
Evanston Ride of Silence is partnering with Wheel and Sprocket and the Evanston Bike Club. W&S will be supplying T shirts for our riders and will also host us for a bite and some conversation after we break our silence. Thanks guys and gals! Also, we will be riding to the Blessing of the Bicycles on Sunday May 10 to preview our route. See www.evanstonbikeclub.org for more info. I look forward to meeting the Chicago riders at Heritage this evening.
