Description

Join the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Chicago Department of Transportation for the second public meeting for the improvement of North Lake Shore Drive as part of the "Redefine the Drive" initiative.

There will be an opportunity to watch an audio-visual presentation while also participating in a workshop to identify potential solutions to the transportation of people on the drive. There will be an opportunity to provide input through many forms of communication such as sketches, written descriptions and online mapping applications.

Please bring a mobile device if you have access to one.

Comment by Michelle S on July 7, 2014 at 10:36pm: Just FYI that this project encompasses not only the street portion of Lake Shore Drive, but the Lakefront Trail and the surrounding areas in the LSD corridor, so it's of huge importance to people riding bikes, walking, using the LFT for commuting or recreation. There's lots of information about the project in general, plus a link to a site where you can submit your suggestions for improvements (under "Mapping Application") on the northlakeshoredrive.org website.
