Come join us in standing up against Shell Oil to save the arctic from their aggressive drilling practices. We will have a polar bear costumed individual with whom you can take photos and let's spread them on instagram like wildfire. People all over the US will be doing the same action. Come meet like minded people and have fun at the lake!
2012 was disastrous drilling season for Shell and the mishaps and mechanical failures have suspended the company's ability to drill in the Arctic in 2013. Still, Shell is trying to drill in the arctic, and it is imperative that we stand up to them to protect the remote, fragile polar region and the people and animals that depend on it.
Andrew Hartsig, Arctic programme director of the Ocean Conservancy says, "Shell has clearly demonstrated that the company is not prepared to conduct safe and responsible operations in icy Arctic waters."
