Don't forget to put your lights on your bike... I think I forgot that last year.

Thanks all for the update on fooood, that sounds perfect. I'll just bring some snacks and a wallet, then. :)

If all goes well I will be meeting up with you folks sometime after superdawg.

@ Marion - Yes there are def people who don't know anyone. First year I did it I knew 3 people. It's a nice group and after 12 hours everyone is best friends. Some leave with new nicknames. My favorite from last year was Cat 5 Neil.

The route will be about 75% the same as last year.

Food stops:
Papi Chulos bar and grill in Hegewisch (veggie options include a grilled cheese sandwich and various fried appetizers)
Rainbo Cone in Beverly
Rest Stop at Greenline wheels in Oak Park, wine and cheese shop across the street, other eateries nearby
Dinner at Superdawg (grilled cheese available, Subway across the street)

@Marion
Last year we stopped at a taqueria in Calumet Park, The Original Rainbow Cone at Western and 92nd, Burger King somewhere in Oak Park, and SuperDawg at Milwaukee and Devon.

We plan to bring some snacks, more for backup than for primary food

Will you be using the same cue sheet from last yr? if so I will make a map my ride profile and garmin file for it. I will be doing a training ride in the morning and then hopefully finding the group shortly after that.

Oooh, I just found out about this and have been wanting to ride the perimeter, so excited! I think I'll be by myself, are there (usually) more people who don't know anyone? I've never done a group ride like this..

Food/breaks: Any other food purchasing breaks other than the not-so-veggie-friendly place planned, or are people bringing snacks for the whole day?

Found it! Here's last year's map/cue sheet.

I'd love to do this ride with you all, but I'm doing the Chicago Tri on Sunday and should save my legs for it. One of these years I'm going to be able to attend; can't wait. Have fun this weekend! Cheers
