Description

Pedal4Life uses bicycling to help those who are recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders to avoid relapse. The 6-week program engages patients in physical activity, builds natural endorphins, and promotes independence. Patients who complete the program get to keep the bikes, helmets, and locks provided them. The bikes provide transportation to support meetings, job interviews, and jobs.  Pedal4 Life was a 2017 Evanston Bicycle Club grant recipient.  Ira David, founder of the Pedal4Life program, is the Executive Producer and Host of the Pedal America TV show and Corporate Videos, Public Television Consulting and Supervising Producer, College Professor and Student Media Adviser, Video Content Producer, and League Cycling Instructor.
