Rescheduled ride from 8/6. Joint ride by the Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago (MTC3.org) and the Friends of the Major Taylor Trail. This is an annual pilgrimage to Major Taylor's current resting place. Pilgrimage ride is 47 Mi. Casual ride of 18 Mi. with a stop at Rainbow Cone near the end. The casual ride does not visit the Major Taylor Memorial Site. We welcome new friends. Let us know if we should expect you.
The Ride will start in Dan Ryan Woods following the Major Taylor Trail to Riverdale. Then we ride to Blue Island where the Casual ride will return to Dan Ryan Woods through Beverly. The Pilgrimage will continue to the Major Taylor Memorial in Thornton Township then ride back to the trailhead via Lansing, Hegewisch, The Burnham Greenway and Chicago.

Hi everyone,
I will be bringing my Cal-Sag Cycles kids (about 15 of us) up to ride the MT trail that day. We start out at 9:15 am from 123rd and Western, so I have no idea if we will see anyone. Should we head N. or South to hook up with the formal ride?
My initial plan was to ride to 105th via streets, then take the trail south to Whistler Woods, over to Blue Island past the Joe Louis golf course and the CSX trail yard.
Hope to see someone tomorrow!
