Becoming a League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructor (LCI) certified to teach the League’s Smart Cycling classes is a great way to bring the joy of safe, confident cycling to others in your community. Certified instructors teach Smart Cycling classes to children and adults.
If you are an experienced cyclist and would like to teach others please consider taking the next step towards LCI certification. Becoming a League member and taking the League's Traffic Skills 101 course are prerequisites to attend the certification seminar. Instructors are trained at seminars held periodically around the country throughout the year.
The next Chicago Area LCI Seminar will be held in Batavia, IL on Friday April 10, Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12. If you wish to attend the April 10-12 seminar, you must register before Thursday, March 19, 2015.
Registration is limited to 16 candidates.
For a FAQ sheet, and to register for this or any other LCI Seminar, go to the League's Instructor Seminar web page. http://bikeleague.org/content/become-instructor
