The rack stays on, but no pannier on it! When I checked in last night Steve said we should be able to bring the bikes in the room at the Best Western, but I think I am going to bring my lock just in case. Actually, I think its a good idea to have my lock just in case wherever I go.
In looking at the locations of the SAG stops it seems likely there will be bathrooms.
Thanks, I didn't feel that hardcore during the ride (it took forever!) but did feel pretty badass for riding through the storm. I had Metra as a bailout option but was determined not to use it!
I'm leaving my rack on. Are people bringing bike locks or is that unnecessary? Also, are there bathrooms at the SAG stops?
Ugh, century yesterday? And a 60-miles ride tomorrow? Hardcore!
Do you guys keep your pannier rack on? Or take them off?
Also staying at the Best Western-pumped up for this ride! I'll be the one with the plastic crocodile on my bike rack, say hi if you pass me! :) Did my first century yesterday so I'm pretty sunburnt and tired.
I know I am going to miss the camaraderie of the campground, but I am going to the Best Western! Try not to buzz me as you pass me while I plod along. ;-)
yes we are!
J.A.W. and I are!
So who's camping besides me?
Really excited for this! It's a bit of a daunting challenge for me, who has not ever ridden that far in a day, but I'm looking forward to it.
Getting close....fingers crossed the weather holds-up and my new tent comes in the mail!
