Description

The Points Race refers to a mass start race with points awarded to riders every 5 laps (traditionally), or other pre-determined number of laps. The bell is rung and the top four riders across the finish line receive points; 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 3 points, 3rd= 2 points, 4th = 1 point. The winner is the rider with the most points.

Category 5 racers are invited to race as well! This will be one of the last nights of Category 5 racing for the year.

The Illinois State Championships are brought to us by the Illinois Cycling Association in conjunction with USA Cycling, the Northbrook Cycle Committee, and the Northbrook Park District.
