Join us for a rare gig by Illinois First! (http://illinoisfirstrockband.com/), playing songs about the history of the Land of Lincoln, accompanied by a cool PowerPoint slide slow. Featuring John Greenfield on guitar and vocals with Dave Miller on bass and Ezra Hozinsky on drums, the band includes two former CDOT Bike Program staffers and the service manager of a local bike shop. Guitar wunderkind Danny Resner opens the show at 9 pm with a set of avant-garde soundscapes, followed by the soulful acoustic folk group I Ching Quartet (http://ichingquartet.com/) at 10 and Illinois 1st! at 11. There's no cover charge and Cole's has a great beer selection. Hope to see you there!
