We're so close to getting Chicago's dirty, aging Fisk and Crawford coal plants cleaned up for good. Join us so we can have a massive turnout to show the mayor and City Council that the time is now, and to push for a deadline to close the plants. Chicagoans' health is at stake and we can't wait any longer!
Meet at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday morning on the second floor of City Hall (MAP) (the city side, not the county side). A press conference will take place at 9:30 before the City Council meeting at 10. When the meeting begins, we'll take our seats in the chambers wearing shirts to represent the estimated 42 people who die from the plants' air pollution EACH YEAR. (Shirts will be provided.) Those sitting in the meeting will all rise and leave as a group at 11 a.m.
Please share with your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and bring as many people as you can!
