Description

This ride starts in Brodhead, WI and rides on quiet backroads to Beloit, WI stopping at Beckman Mill on the way back.  I've led this ride 6 years now, originally to the world's largest Angel Museum in Beloit, but now that the  Museum is closed on Sundays, we will visit the parks on the bike paths around the Rock River instead.  There are horse farms instead of cows and the rolling hills makes this a heavenly ride even without viewing a collection of angel figurines.  The route is moderately hilly--a modest number of climbs that are not unusally steep or long.   The later start gives you time to drive the 120 miles from Chicago to the starting location and is worth the trip.   Co-sponsored by the Bombay Bicycle Club of Madison, WI and the Chicago Cycling Club.  55 miles; pace 14-18 mph.
