Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Magic Sam, Gene Ammons, Otis Spann, Earl Hooker, Hound Dog Taylor, Big Bill Broonzy, Big Walter Horton - their music haunts the Cal-Sag graveyards where their bodies were lain to rest.
Join blues artist "Harmonica" Neil Florek along with Cal-Sag Trail & Blues fans Jason Berry and Steve Buchtel on an interpretive tour of the graveyards of the greats - Burr Oak, Restvale, and Lincoln - this Saturday, October 27. Learn about the greats whose music helped forge the character of the Chicago Southland, and listen graveside as Harmonica Neil calls forth their spirits from out of the earth.
RSVP, and bring $10/person and some money for tipping Neil. This is a minor fundraiser for the Cal-Sag Trail, a preview of November 3's awesome Bridges & Blues (http://bridgesandblues.org/), and just flat out fun. We'll start and end at An Seanachi's, 2825 W. 127th St. and proceed caravan style toward Alsip - bring your own transportation.
