The Tour de Cure is returning to Geneva, Illinois on Sunday, June 7, 2009!

The Grand Geneva Tour de Cure starts and finishes at the beautiful Peck Farm Park, whose rustic charm also includes a nature education center and a butterfly house! Riders can choose from three different routes: A 25-kilometer, family-friendly circuit on paved bike trails through Peck Farm Park and the nearby the Mill Creek neighborhoods; A 60-kilometer adventure on the open roads with rolling hills and a taste of the Kane County countryside; or, a challenging 100-kilometer road loop all the way to the county line, which adds stretches of scenic farm roads to the 60K loop.

Rest stops along the route will feature refreshments and mechanical support. When you arrive at the finish, you’ll be greeted by the Peck Farm Family Festival, where you can celebrate your fund-raising and cycling achievements with food, music and fun for the whole family! Come be part of the fastest-growing cycling event in the region!

New for 2009, The Red Riders will be making their Tour de Cure debut! The Red Riders are a team of individuals who are participating in the Tour de Cure while managing Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes. We believe these riders need to be celebrated for meeting the disease head-on and for inspiring others to do the same. The Red Riders will be a great source of inspiration for all Tour de Cure participants – and the program is open to anyone riding in the Tour with diabetes. Be sure to cheer on the Red Riders on the day of the ride!
