Description

Although Cook County is one of the most densely populated areas in the country, it is the most ecologically diverse county in Illinois thanks to the protection of open spaces by the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Covering over 70,000 acres, it is the largest forest preserve district in the United States. Their stewardship includes some of the trails we love to bike on such as the North Branch Trail, Des Plaines River Trail, and the Busse Woods Trail. Kevin Kuhn is a forest preserve staff member who will provide an update on what is new in the forest preserve district including conservation efforts, events, and volunteer opportunities. Meeting cosponsored by Earth Rider Cycling and Chicago Cycling Club.  Please RSVP here and the Zoom link will be emailed to you.
