Yoga strikes again this Wednesday at the Stone Soup Cooperative Ashland House at 4637 N Ashland Avenue.
Join us in a beautiful de-sanctified chapel during the cold-weather season (October 19th until May 1st.) You can see pictures of the chapel on the Ashland House website.
This is a weekly class offered to all chainlinkers, co-op residents and friends. Every Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:45pm we will practice Vinyasa. A talented, skilled and magnanimous yoga instructor teaches the class each week. Our instructor is certified and currently teaches several yoga classes in the city. All skill levels welcome!!!
Space is limited to 10 people so please RSVP in advance if you wish to attend. All people who RSVP will receive a message with the phone number of a contact person. You will need to call this number to be let into the building. Please do not ring the doorbell and arrive before 6:30 so we can start the class on time!
Please be sure to enter on the right side of the building. Head down the gangway past the picnic tables to the door directly across from the tables.
I hope to see you all on Wednesday!

I guess that makes sense. I would be thrilled, however, to participate in another sunday morning tweed ride.
I'm going to call it folks. Yoga is canceled for tonight because there are not enough RSVPs. I'm going to go to critical lass and I hope to see some of you there!!!
The official description: Critical Lass is an inclusive ride for women/trans cyclists of all ages/skill set created to facilitate camaraderie, increase visibility and encourage both novice and seasoned riders to get on their bikes. We will maintain a leisurely pace and will go no faster than our slowest rider so, whether you are 18 or 80, please join us!!
Well Critical Lass is quite different than the Mass. We can discuss their philosophy later. Critical Lass is slow-paced well-organized ride just for ladies and trans folks. It utilizes side streets and bike paths and does not block traffic. It is meant to be a supporting group ride for new cyclists and also a social occasion. It is organized by very nice people and ends at a bar or restaurant for drinks and chatting.
I've never been on a mass bike ride like that and am torn over how I feel about them. Is making someone late for something really going to improve their view of cycling? Maybe I don't fully get the philosophy. If I'm missing something, I would like to better understand.
I hate to ask Melissa to drive all the way into the city just for the two of us though. I wish there were more RSVPs. People probably don't want to be inside with this beautiful weather! Allison, if we can't get yoga going tonight, you should go to Critical Lass. It's not far from where you live and will be a lots of fun and thereby stress relieving!
If it goes on today, I'll attend. In bad need of some yoga.
Dang. Not going to make it tonight for either yoga or critical lass. Sigh. Good news is that I'm changing jobs soon and hopefully will be better able to make it to yoga and other fun evening stuff.....
Us yogis of the female persuasion are considering absconding yoga tonight for Critical Lass. Sound good? Want to join us? Would rather do yoga? Let us know before 3:30pm, thanks!
