Description

Our vacation month is over and the warm weather has arrived. Free Community Yoga on Wednesdays will recommence classes at Montrose Pier.

We practice on the very tip of the pier with water splashing on either side and nothing but the deep blue sky above us...it is as peaceful as it sounds.

We would also like to announce that we will have new teacher starting this week. Jackie, a talented and enthusiastic instructor who has previously subbed for Melissa will be taking over as Melissa has been appointed to several new teaching positions!

Here is a Google map of our location: map.

Go to the very tip of the pier. The path to the pier is located between the bird sanctuary and the Montrose Beach field house.

This is a weekly class offered to all chainlinkers,  and friends. Every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:15pm we practice Vinyasa. A talented, skilled and magnanimous yoga instructor teaches the class each week. Our instructor is certified and currently teaches several yoga classes in the city. All skill levels welcome!!!

Classes are weather permitting. If you RSVP I will message you if class is canceled.

I hope to see you all this Wednesday at the pier!

It's 6:15 and I'm still at work....still hoping to make it, but will definitely be late....

Yeah!  I really should double check important details like that.  Thanks for catching it!  It will be good to see you!

Thanks April! I had it in my mind that it started at 7 for the summer, but then when I came to the page here to double-check I noticed the 6:15....good for me that it's 7 so I can be there on time! Huzzah!

Whoa!!!  I need to correct that!!!  Class is 7pm.   I couldn't make it there at 6:15 either.

April, I'm psyched about yoga tonight, but doubt I can get there by 6:15. Would it be okay with the instructor (and you and the rest of the yogis) if I quietly join you at about 6:30 or so? If not, I totally understand--I don't want to disrupt anyone's practice. Namaste. :o)

Yes, please bring a yoga mat or at least a towel or something.  The pier is pretty hard surface.

Is a yoga mat needed?

All levels are definitely welcome.  There is no such thing as slowing down a yoga class, everyone works at their own level and our very generous teacher is happy to show beginners the ropes.

I'm curious about yogs, I'm thinking it could help my back and my sciatica. When you say "all skill levels welcome" does that include out of shape, fat bastard yoga virgins? I wouldn't want to slow down the class...
