This ride will visit several breweries just off the bucolic Fox River Trail, rated the most scenic Chicagoland bike trail by myself.
Take the 8:40 AM BNSF Metra to Aurora (or you can ride out if you want) and arrive at 10:11. Ride slowly for 11 miles to Penrose in Geneva which opens at 11:00. Then ride 18 miles to Emmetts in West Dundee. Then ride 6 more miles to Scorched Earf in Algonquin. Then 5 miles to Crystal Lake Brewing and possible fireworks. 40 miles total.
Trains out of Crystal Lake at 5,7 and 9 PM. There are multiple other Metra stations along the trail if you want to bail early.
Bring: water, snacks, tire changing gear, TiNa. lights.
Its is recommended that you pick you up the BNSF at Union Station to ensure seating.

Whew. We were at Scorched Earth wondering if you were going to make the 5:00 or if we were going to see you at Crystal Lake.
