Four-Star Bike Tour, Aug. 26, 2012

Take a spin through captivating neighborhoods in Chicago and beyond for the Four-Star Bike Tour on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Choose from four fun, scenic routes that expose you to lush parks, historical architecture and famed landmarks during Chicago’s longest-running annual ride. Sign up for the 12-mile route and join a scavenger hunt on the ride! Compete in the scavenger hunt as an individual or put together a team. Complete the activities, challenges and trivia questions to win prizes (how about a new bike?). Groups of 10 or more adults pay $25 each (a $5 savings) http://fourstarbiketour.org/groups.

Scavenger hunters and all other riders are encouraged to break out their Chicago-related costumes! We expect to see hot dogs, Blues Brothers, gangsters, characters from a John Hughes film and Chicago Bears, among others. Prizes will go to the best costume and best team costume.

Riders can also sign up for Safe City Cycling instruction program to learn from our experts how to ride safely in the city for just $20 extra (12-mile route only) http://www.fourstarbiketour.org/safety.

Registration for Four-Star includes an event T-shirt, rest stop access and entry to the post-ride festival with live entertainment, food and beer.
