Due to the blizzard and medical emergencies our first meeting was cancelled. This night will be a discussion of our first book, Velocity and a new addition, Candide by Voltaire.

Comment by Shay on March 25, 2011 at 4:20am: I'm really looking forward to this! I read Candide in grad school. Wish I still had my notes. The course was entirely on literature of the Enlightenment.

I tried to reserve the book with the library, but it's taking forever. So I found that I could download a copy for free in iBooks on my iPad. It will be my first time reading a book on the iPad...not sure how I'll like it.
