Shapeshifter- there are going to be at least five people Friday night camping. We are all driving out though.

i can leave on friday... anybody planning on the extra day? am planning to bring food but always open to checking out the local fare. may have room for one (or two) others in my expedition tent and can also haul a single person tentcot should there be a need.

Just throwing this out there, but Queen's landing (on the path) east of Buckingham at 9am sounds like a good meetup point.

There's a Jewel-Osco about 3 miles south of the park in town. I'd be more than happy to pick up items for people as I head in. Message me with what you want drink/food wise and I'll get it.

Where would the departure point be? And what's the word on food - bring it or go grocery shopping nearby?

Niall- a more direct route that I acually prefer is highway 12. Its part of the lake Michigan scenic tour route. If you are solo, this will be much faster and direct. Its only 50 something miles and faster pace. Its problematic for groups but I've done it with two riders multiple times with no troubles. Message me if you want directions.

I think I'll give this a go, though Saturday AM obligations and my own desire to try this ride unsupported will probably keep me well behind the group. I'll happily pony up for a small corner of a campsite to accommodate my 2-man tent, if someone's willing to share the site.
