Ahhhhh.>

Brrrrr! Winter is upon us, but we ride year-round. Join British Bicycles of Chicago for the Cozy Hearth Tweed Ride.

Don your heaviest & snazziest woollens, fill your flask and ride warmly in style. We will travel to some fine establishments - each with a fireplace. At each stop, we'll warm our toes by the glowing embers and enjoy a day of conviviality on wheels.

Full participation is not required - if you'd like to meet up with us en route, contact me for my cell number. No penalties for dropping out along the way.

* Some form of tweed, argyle, plaid or creative suitable attire required
* British bike a plus (not required)
* Moustache optional

Stops will include:

Jack's Bar & Grill/404 Wine Bar
Black Rock Pub & Kitchen
Ten Cat Tavern
Ravenswood Pub
The Grafton
Chief O'Neill's Pub & Restaurant
Streetside Bar and Grill
The Old Oak Tap

Ladies & Gents!

Justine Jablonska, a journalism grad at Northwestern, will be joining us at Jack's a little before 1pm. You'll notice her because of her video camera. She's making a little documentary of the Tweed Rides. If you're camera shy, just let her know; but DO make her welcome!!!

About what time will we move from Jack's to the next fire place? I would like to grab a bite to eat at Jack's and was wondering if I should get there a little bit earlier or not.

I was in Chief O'Neill's for the first time a couple nights ago and I'm pretty sure they won't kick us out for singing.

And we'll be displaying, for the first time ever, our proud BBC Colours!!!

Singing is a fine idea - bring any favorite songs with you. If we get thrown out, we always have another place to go.

Will there be singing of drinking songs? I can start memorizing some in preparation!
