Saturday Morning, July 17th, 2010 (Tomorrow!)
Join the bicycle contingent of the Englewood Community Gardens Tour
We will be touring community gardens, church gardens, school gardens, abandoned lot gardens, and a community farm. We'll be stopping at a farmer's market and the Bud Billiken Green Team's Green Youth will even perform Rap for us!
Come support the people building a city paradise of green and see their creative fruits blossoming!
We gather at 8:30 am at the West Englewood Branch Library (1745 W. 63rd St - near a green line stop)
If you bring something to share for our lunch potluck you can drop it off here. We'll pick up a map and proceed on our garden caravan.
By 10:30 we'll take a snacks and drinks stop at the Rowan Tree's Farmers Market (where you can also meet up with us, 501 W. Englewood Ave & 62nd Street)
& by 11:30 we plan to return to the library to enjoy a potluck lunch together and socialize!
Come join us for a great green ride!
