Cycle Tanzania Chicago Bike-a-Thon and Family Fun Fest

Join us at Moraine Hills State Park (McHenry, IL) on August 29, 2009 for a fundraising bike event in support of International Childcare Trust (ICT) and Cycle Tanzania's Chicago team.

Help Us reach our Goal of $45,000 for vulnerable children in Africa and Asia while enjoying a great ride.

ICT is a small non-profit organization working on a modest budget who reaches out to the most disadvantaged children in Africa and Asia.

The team of Chicago area cyclists will ride 305km in Tanzania this October to raise funds for ICT. As a team of cyclists with different riding capabilities, we will each face our own set of personal challenges over the next months training for and completing the ride. These personal challenges we will face pale in comparison to the challenges the children of Tanzania encounter everyday: poverty, hunger, child labor, HIV/AIDS, etc. ICT brings hope to these children’s lives by creating an environment where healthcare and education is available. ICT partners with local non-government organizations to setup local sustainable projects that will result in long-term community development.

The bike-a-thon is designed for riders of all levels. After your ride, stay for while at beautiful Moraine Hills State Park to enjoy live music, raffles, food and more.
