From the Black Chicago Renaissance to the Wall of Respect and AFRICOBRA and to today’s vibrant art scene, Bronzeville has been one of the most dynamic arts communities in the nation for decades.
This Sunday’s ride will explore the processes behind the creation, collection, and celebration of art and the connections between these and the health of the broader community through in-depth viewing and discussion at three unique arts institutions: Oakland Museum of Contemporary Art, Faie African Art, Patric McCoy Collection.
