Everyone, in the spirit of this post:

http://www.thechainlink.org/forum/topics/lets-stop-bitching-about-the

Let's get together, clean up some bikes, donate a little cash, hopefully get some donations and do some good in our community and country.

Gabe has secured us a spot at S&G's on Southport & Lincoln.

We need volunteers, rags, toothbrushes, cleaning solution, bowls, buckets, etc. Bring whatever you can.

Spread the word, tell your friends, tell them to tell their friends that on Saturday July 10th from 10am until 2pm (ish?) they can get their bikes cleaned and all we ask is for a donation of any size to help the cause of those cleaning up the horrendous mess along our Gulf Coast.

We haven't decided yet on who to donate to, and could use your opinions and help on that!

We've decided to help the families of Louisiana and the school supply drive

Read the flyer for complete details.

I am unable to make it, but I have cases of toothbrushes if someone wants to come pick one up (colgate is a client of mine)

maybe we should make a list of who is bringing what to make sure we have everything we need!

Just a thought, this doesn't have to be a one time thing.. of course could be cuz I'd much rather be helping with all you guys Saturday than my work community service peeps! We're doing a carnival for seniors and their families in Lakeview. I'll try to slip out early and catch up at S&G

Any bottle you can pick up at your LBS is just fine, thanks!

Smart Bike Parts in Logan Square has cheap bottles of organic fluid that I really love. Like, $10 a pop. Chainbrite is good stuff, too. Just whatever you can find.

If we're cleaning chains, we should get lube, too.
Rock n' Roll & Tri-Flow are my personal faves.

Any particular cleaning solution you are looking for? I can buy some for the cause!
