Chicago Cycling Club Bagel ride

In the spirit of diversity, I have been using a Mayan calendar this year. It ends on December 21, which I was led to believe meant that the world was coming to an end.

Only recently have Santa’s elves informed me that this is not true and that there will be a Christmas in 2012. Given this late-breaking news, I will once again lead the Chicago Cycling Club’s annual Bagel Ride on Christmas Day. As usual, we will meander through Evanston and Skokie on our 5-6 miles ride to The Bagel Restaurant at Old Orchard. Afterward, we’ll take a more direct route back to the Robert Crown Community Center.

Don’t forget to bring a lock for your bike and money for your favorite delicatessen fare. And if the weather’s not to your liking, meet us at the restaurant around 11:00 AM. The more the merrier.

P.S. - I’m going to use a Fox News calendar for 2013. They’re not predicting that the world will end next year, are they?
