The Chicago Center for Green Technology (CCGT) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this month with a special event to promote green building and sustainable practices through vendor exhibits, presentations, games, food, guided tours, and entertainment.

The City anticipates more than 500 Chicago residents, small business owners, locally-based professionals and municipal employees will attend the anniversary event at the CCGT on Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will include:

• a “Build Smart” expo featuring 40 product/service vendors;
• Mini education sessions featuring a bike clinic, electric vehicle presentation, and a native plant walking tour;
• games for everyone, including bag toss and a dunk tank (plus prizes for the kids);
• food supplied by local organic vendors;
• a solar powered DJ system and sound stage;
• raffle drawings for prize including weatherization kits, rain barrels, and compost bins
