Put your pedals to work for conservation as you travel at your own pace under a star-filled sky, ending by 3:00am. Nocturnal riders will have the opportunity to travel the typically limited access roads at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, or Fermilab, and enjoy a healthy breakfast at the end of their nighttime journey.
Chase the Moon is a ride, not a race, and the length of the route is determined by the will of your legs. Dedicated bicycle enthusiasts will be able to ride a 25-mile route, while more recreational riders can shorten the route if desired.
All participants must wear a helmet at all times and must have a headlight (flashlight will do) during the ride. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Children riding their own bicycles will need to register also.
All registered participants receive:
• A short-sleeved, 100% cotton Chase the Moon T-shirt
• Prizes for Best Lit Bicycle and Best Decorated Helmet
• Bicycle repair (Sag Wagons) will be available
• Breakfast supplied upon return
All registration info at the site above.
