This tour will start at the Chicago History Museum and cover about 12 miles linking many cool North Side sites, with a focus on the River, crime, the Chicago Fire, and remnants of old Chicago (the last stable in the city, post-Fire "relief cottages," and Dillinger's death site, for instance). Tour ends at the Billy Goat, aka the Three Dimensional Mike Royko Archive and Shrine.

Hey Bill, sorry I didn't sign up earlier. This looks really cool. I hope we have another chance soon to try it again. Remember, it's all about marketing. Throwing in some free beer also helps immensely.
CANCELLED due to low ridership. Sorry, but the CHM has a minimum. Maybe next year!
Y'all: If you're interested in signing up for this ride, go to the Chicago History Museum site:

Been scouting the ride, using some of John Greenfield's great "secret" routes along the River, and finding very cool off-the-beaten-track stuff. Chicago's last stable, historic public housing, wood-paved alleys, the inner workings of a bascule bridge, and the original site of Chicago's first hotel/saloon from a location soon to be built on and forever inaccessible. Hope some chain-linkers will come along!
