Description

Most likely the last opportunity of the season for us cycling campers, this is an event not to miss.

Cycle paths lead directly to the Dunes via lakefront, Erie Lackawanna, Oak Savannah, and the Prairie Duneland trails. Distance ~65 miles

Depart Sat morning, time to be determined by attending parties. 9am?

Mule service leaving Friday night and camping all weekend, compliments of Kelly. Go light and have me bring the extra weight in the car.

BRRRRing warm clothing, a big tent, and "friends" to keep you warm!

$2/bike entrance fee, sites are $17.34/night and are allowed up to six people.

I thought I'd meet up with my pal in Hyde Park around ten or so. I'd run a little behind you guys, though if you don't mind losing that hour (heck, you'll get it back from daylight savings... at two am Sunday ;), then I'd certainly like the company. I'll ride with loaded rack, though, so I may be pretty slow.

Sadly, I think we have to purchase all fire wood because of the ash bore bug thingy that has destroyed LOTS of trees in the midwest. I also will have community food-all veggie friendly- to share with everyone. The heated bathroom/shower facilities are NICE. We'll have water from there but extra jugs would come in handy if you already have them.

What's the campfire situation where we're staying. We'll bring some fire wood, is anyone else planning to?
We'll also bring some food, enough for handful of people. Anyone else planning on cooking?
Water? Beer (duh)? What else?
