Description

Sharp dressers, decked out bikes and a beautiful destination make for a great picnic ride.

Meet up at Daley Plaza for a 10:30am departure.  We will ride to Wooded Island in Jackson Park via Printers Row, Prairie Avenue and the Lakefront Trail.  

Leisurely street and trail riding with lots of greenery. Pack a proper picnic lunch to enjoy or share.  We'll explore the grounds for awhile, then return along another route.

Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed guest, best decorated bike and tastiest lunch!

After a preride both enjoyable and grueling, I have realized that, 1) 30+ miles is probably too long for a style ride when most of it is on trails, and 2) having it take place the day before Bike the Drive was lunacy.

So this is being pushed back to June and reconfigured to a shorter ride - possibly to Wooded Island in Jackson Park. I'm headed back to the Botanic Gardens in a few weeks, but looking casual. I'll put out a blast if anyone would like to go.

The prizes are in - 3 leather saddle bags each containing a multitool and patch kit!
