Description

To celebrate Bonfire Night (two days late), British Bicycles of Chicago is hosting the 2009 Bonfire Night Tweed Ride. Don your best woollies, pocket your flask, strap some combustibles (wood preferred) to your bicycle and join us! Effigies are welcome and old clothing donations for the Guy are appreciated. Just remember they will be burned, so make it something of no use to anyone.

We will ride approximately 17 miles at a relaxed pace, from North to South Sides with several fortifying stops along the way. We will take in parkland, industrial and residential areas as darkness falls. The finale will be the building and lighting of a bonfire at Bubbly Dynamics to commemorate the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes

Warm yourself by the glow of a bonfire after riding in style with friends old and new! Cue sheets and prizes (fleecy and tweedy) will be provided. The route is posted here: www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Bonfire-Tweed-Ride-route

It may be two days late BUT Saturday, the 7th, is when poor Guido, aka Guy, finally admitted to The Gun Powder Plot after some extreme interrogation methods.

Sounds awesome but I have my dad's bday (actual day IS 11/5) and Dave Attel that night. Have fun!

Get a PDF to cut out as a Guy Fawkes mask here http://kimpix.net/2006/11/25/guy-fawkes-paper-craft-mask/ or use the simpler image.
