On the eve of Bike Messenger Appreciation Day, Thursday, Oct. 8, Active Trans and Goose Island will be appreciating bike messengers (with valid company ID) with free beer, pizza and drink specials.

10-9 is the radio code for "what? please repeat your transmission" and every Oct. 9 (10/9) is Bike Messenger Appreciation Day.
