The dates are not solid on this yet. It will be either June 26 & 27 returning on the 28th, but dates may change.

Let's gather our gear and go camping! Illinois State Beach Park is close enough to the city that almost anyone can come along. You can ride the Metra to Zion for $7.25(Plus $7.25 for the return), or a weekend pass for $7. After that the site is only about two miles. Theres a grocery store about a mile away. Kenosha is about 20m round trip. 

After work on Friday, I'll take the Metra up and settle in. Feel free to drop in and camp there or another site. On Saturday, I'll be riding up to Kenosha. Sunday I'll be heading home sometime in the early afternoon.

Gotta cancel camping for me this weekend...I'm saving for a big tour and will be camping on the 3rd & 4th.

I just went up there a week ago.  Left the loop around noon and it's a nice afternoon ride.  Nice weekend trip, I met a couple of groups, one from Chicago and one from Minneapolis, at the campground.  Nice time except that I was riding the tail end of a hurricane. I took a few days riding back to Kalamazoo after a day in Zion.
