Bandana, Special WPR Edition (in collaboration with 606 Racing)

The commencement of WPR 2024 will be marked by a special edition of the Bandana Ride exclusively for women, done in collaboration with 606 Racing! A dedicated Strava club page and event have been set up for this ride, where future rides will also be announced (find the link in our bio!).

We'll gather at 10:00 AM and set off by 10:15 AM on Saturday, March 9. If you're arriving without a car, we suggest taking the UP-NW Metra train number 701 to Barrington, which conveniently drops you off in downtown Barrington with ample time to grab a coffee and pastry before the ride!

Please take a moment to review the route and mark the Sprint and QOM segments on Strava (all details available in the link in our bio) so you're ready to compete for points! Prizes await the winners of the sprint and climbing competitions.

While WPR typically revolves around team strategies and race-specific tactics, this ride will be a solo affair—every woman for herself! Of course, if you arrive with teammates, feel free to collaborate.

Keep in mind that this is a drop ride. Additionally, it's crucial to come prepared with sufficient hydration and nutrition, as bonking is strictly prohibited at WPR rides. There will be one re-grouping opportunity at a mid-route Speedway, but no guarantees. As for the average pace, we prefer not to specify, as it depends on the group's mood and weather conditions on the day.
