A Greener Ravenswood - 2014

As a core initiative of the Ravenswood Community Council, A Greener Ravenswood beautifies community gardens, parks, and open space, supports green education at our local schools, and advocates the achievements of local businesses and residents for a more sustainable neighborhood. A Greener Ravenswood galvanizes a variety of green elements in our community via a network for resource sharing.

This year our benefit will be part garden party, part expo – with a showcase of local entrepreneurs that deal in sustainable products and services presenting and educating consumers, mini-clinics, hosted bar and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and our annual Raven Awards honoring local residents and businesses who exemplify sustainable practices in the community.
The event will also feature hosted bar and music, as well as local celebrity chef demonstrations and beer demonstration by Brew Camp!

Bike clinic sponsored by Turin Bicycle and TheChainlink.org.

Proceeds will benefit beautification projects in Greater Ravenswood and a portion of donations will benefit two local Ravenswood elementary schools, McPherson and St. Matthias, for their campus-wide beautification and environmental education programs aiding students and families.
