Regardless of road conditions, I am going. My only worry is that I am about to drive 500 miles in a UPS semi and making it back early all depends on the weather. Hopefully, I will be back between 8-9am and have no problem getting over to Daley Plaza. The ride between Three Floyds and Flossmoor should be interesting, and taking the Metra back is possible from there! Cheers!

If anyone with a skinny tire bike would rather ride a MTB for this ride, I'm more than happy to let you use one of mine. I've got 2 extras (17" and 19" frame) that you're more than welcome to use. If interested, let me know and we can work out the details.

Ooops...sorry there, Natesos. I probably sounded like an arrogant ass in my last post. That definitely was not intentional.

And yes, I'm also hoping for clear roads and a good ride.

Me and my (one) bike (road) might be dq'd by snow. The decision will probably come down the the morning of. Here's hoping for a good ride -

Three Floyd's Ride Severe Advisory!
Warning!! Danger!!
Conditions Saturday will be horrendous:
The brew pub will not fill your growler!!
We have therefore rerouted on the return trip to visit Flossmoor Station.
Oh, and yeah, might be kinda "chilly" out.
That is all.

So...everyone still up for this? I really want to go but I'm watching the weather really close and trying to gauge how many people will actually participate. My biggest issue is the bikes I own. I don't mind riding my mountain bike in the snow and ice, but it's a single speed and 65 miles may get kinda tedious with a 2:1 gear ratio. My fixie and my road bike are much better suited for long distances. But snow and ice is a little sketchy on 700x23C, 120psi tires. But if everyone plans to come regardless of weather, I'm in.

bring your snow tires!
looks like we'll get around 4-6 inches prior to the ride and hit some snow showers through the first half of the ride.
FUN!
